Description

CMV series solid-state soft starter is designed to start, stop, control and protect motors. Suitable for 3kV to 10kV squirrel cage asynchronous and synchronous motors, it is an ideal high-voltage motor starting and protection equipment.

The use of CMV soft starters can reduce the starting inrush current of the motor, reduce the impact on the power grid, motor, and mechanical equipment, extend the service life of the equipment, and reduce failures and downtime.

CMV series Soft Starter Features

CMV-G type (Stationary)

★ The thyristor valve body is used as the main circuit component. Advanced technology, reliable work, modular structure, maintenance-free.

★ Strong adaptability, able to work normally under the condition of isolated grid or generator set at home and abroad.

★ Central control is performed based on 32-bit ARM core microcontroller. Fast response, high control precision and strong anti-interference ability.

★ KYN28 structure. Made of aluminum-zinc plate. All control operations are performed with the cabinet door closed.

★ Separation of high and low voltage, the cabinet is composed of three parts: low voltage chamber, high voltage chamber and valve group chamber, with five anti-locking functions.

★ Protection class: IP40.

★ G type: The valve group is fixedly installed in the cabinet and cannot be extracted.

CMV-S type (Withdrawable)

★ Having all the electrical properties of CMV-G.

★ The valve group is installed in the withdrawable KYN28 central high-pressure cabinet, and the thyristor valve body adopts the trolley installation method, which is convenient for users to check, test and maintain.

★ Protection class: IP40.

★ S type: The valve group is not fixed and can be pulled out.

CMV-E type (All-in-one)

★ Switch cabinet, soft start cabinet, bypass cabinet, integrated design, small size, easy to install:

★ The standard configuration includes a grid-side vacuum circuit breaker and a bypass vacuum contactor, eliminating the need to configure an operating cabinet or switch cabinet;

★ Suitable for installation anywhere, no distance requirements from other equipment layout;

★ The cabinet body is made of aluminum-zinc plate, processed by CNC machine tools, completely metal aluminum, assembled structure, wide range of combination options, corrosion-resistant, light weight, high strength, and strong parts versatility;

★ It can be equipped with domestic ZN63A-12 (VSI) series or imported VD4 series vacuum circuit breakers, which have wide applicability, high reliability and long-term

★ Highly reliable interlocking device fully meets the “five prevention” requirements;

★ Heaters can be installed in the circuit breaker room and cable room respectively to prevent condensation and corrosion. Each high-pressure room has a pressure relief channel to ensure personal safety;

★ The front door is equipped with an observation window to observe the working status of indoor components.

★ Protection level: IP40.

★ E type: The circuit breaker can be drawn out, but the valve body cannot be drawn out.

Why is the CMV SS referred to as a high voltage soft starter in your manual?

The IEC and internationally accepted standards define the medium voltage range as between 1kV and 35kV.

While in GB/T 2900.50-2008, high voltage (HV) is defined as: an AC voltage level higher than 1kV and lower than 330KV in the power system.

Based on this, CMV series soft starters are usually classified as “high voltage soft starters” in China.
